What do you do if you are away from the office but have an important webinar that you just can’t miss? Don’t skip the 18th hole – just fire up the iTunes app store and download the new iPhone WebEx application from Cisco Systems.
That’s right, you can now attend a webinar from the comforts of your GPS-enabled golf cart, all thanks to technology. Now, if only everyone had an iPhone. Or, better yet, if only webinars were cool. You know, not clunky, difficult, or monotonous….
Let’s face it, nobody enjoys a webinar. An iPhone app certainly elevates the cool factor, but once the novelty wears off, you’re still left attending an internet presentation of, typically, a recorded audio lesson followed by “Q&A”. Until full-fledged video conferencing comes to the iPhone, I’m keeping Cisco Systems away from my hard drive.
